E Books=Enough Bull

By Ena Clewes

I am reasonably new to the internet world. I started my own website in 2004. I have a passion for gardening and I thought it would be interesting to pass on all the information I had gathered over the years, by way of a website.I thought all I had to do was create pages, fill them with information and I would instantly receive visitors to my site.Well, of course, I was sadly mistaken!
How to get visitors to my site was an ongoing problem, shared by many other webmasters I'm sure, and I had trouble finding an answer. Until one day,I discovered "E Books!".

This must be the answer, everyone seemed to have them on their web sites, and they were getting paid to feature and sell them. I decided to download some of these books to find out what they were all about.

Eagerly anticipating that I had found the answer to my "traffic" problem, I scrolled down the pages reading as quickly as I could, hoping to find the knowledge I had been missing.

What a disappointment!!! there was nothing of interest,no sincerity in the writing and very little fact. I decided to look at other Ebooks on different subjects,to check them out.I realized after spending many hours on this project, that they were mostly all hype. The long long introductions to these "wonder" books was all hot air and very little substance.

Many people must have made a lot of money on the backs of others, those who thought that by reading an ebook they would have the answer to untold wealth, just by following instructions. I often wonder about all those "testimonials"that they show, did all these people REALLY, make all that money?

Have we been mesmerized by the authors of some of these books into believing that we can't possibly know the secrets that they hold,we need someone to open our eyes, to tell us how to do almost anything?. I do believe that there are some Ebooks that do help in internet marketing, but where does it end? Now there are so many on the internet that they can't give them away.!!

We should rely on our own research to give us information and then we would know that it is based on fact, not someone else's ideas. We rely, too much,on the "quick fix", not taking the benefit of our own intellect to move us forward.

I have decided to write my own Ebook on gardening,as a Master gardener and speaker, surely I must be able to fill the pages with content worth reading, but then that's only my opinion!!!!

Affiliate Internet Marketing Tip

By Kames Cox

BUM MARKETING: HOW DO I MARKET MY NICHE?

The bum marketing method teaches internet marketers how to make a significant amount of money through article marketing. The concept is based on promoting affiliate products using low competition keywords. With the thousands of available methods of promotion in the Internet, marketers may ask themselves, How do I market my niche?

With bum marketing method, there are numerous ways of marketing your niche so you can quit asking, How do I market my niche? Lets start with Google. When it comes to making some decent and quick cash on the internet, the big three are Ezinearticles.com, Goarticles.com, and SearchWarp, which are all article directory sites. UsFreeAds is also said to be a Google favorite for over 2 years now. There are also other extremely powerful sites including Blogger.com and Squidoo.com. These sites are all free so anyone can get started here without having to shell out dollars.

GoArticles.com is a site with great PR. It is also perfect for a newbie to Internet marketing who does not own a website since GoArticles lets you link straight to the merchant website. UsFreeAds is likewise great for a newbie with no website and also for advanced marketers. Direct link to merchants is also allowed. Unfortunately, UsFreeAds does not have the same page rank as GoArticles or EzineArticles. EzineArticles is the most powerful with a PR 6 or PR 7. EzineArticles will list you on top of Googles first page with up to 10,000 competing results. However, affiliate links are not allowed so you need to redirect readers to a different website. A lot of ezine publishers and website owners go to Ezinearticles if they want good content. These services are all free. With UsFreeAds, although it allows free ad submission, it is recommended that you go for the premium membership costing $9 a month. With this measly amount, you can place unlimited ads complete with photos and all the HTML tools.

A lot of affiliates choose the alternative involving pay-per-click engines. But it is more recommended to learn the skills on how to achieve organic search results using the bum marketing method and then research the criteria for your articles. This method can help you save yourself from losing all your earnings on pay-per-click marketing.

These are just some ways of marketing your niche by building and increasing traffic to your own site. These methods are a good start for newbies to internet marketing, and even the seasoned ones. There are several more if you know how to look for them, but you can always start with the bum marketing method. The internet is such a fountain of information. In the end, you wont have to ask yourself, How do I market my niche?

Check out my Bum Marketing website to receive all the Hottest Articles. http://www.BumMarketingGuide.net/

I illw teach you for Absolutely Free on how to start making money though Bum Marketing Methods.

Knowledge Is NOT Power

By Catherine Franz

For generations, societys mantra to us was, "Knowledge is power." And that knowledge equaled power. As long as this continued to be subjective, unproven, society kept singing the mantra.

Boom!

The Internet comes along, knowledge increases 10,000 percent over night, and society chases the knowledge in greater numbers. More people are getting PhDs and double master degrees than ever before. Stress-related diseases increased 100% last year alone.

What's wrong with this picture?

The subjective is now objective. You don't need any stats for this. Use your instincts. You "know" this already just with your own life. It's time for this cultural trance to awaken from a belief that has now proved itself incorrect.

So, then, what really needs to change?

Well, it didn't ever really change. The ladder was leaning against the wrong wall, thats all. We can't point fingers; we are just now seeing the mantra. The motivational trainers like Tony Robbins sing this daily. Whats different is that we no longer can deny the truth of it. My grandma told me long ago, "The proofs in the pudding."

Do you relate to this? Even in a small way? Great! The good news -- it only takes 30 seconds to shift your perspective. Thats several 30-second times throughout the day until its totally gone. It will not take long though. The real key that I'm getting into now will override the ole mantra much faster.

The real key to success is action. Think about it. We already have tons of information swirling in our heads that we haven't used. So, when were you going to use it? Someday maybe. When you are sitting in the rocking chair in retirement community? Now, don't get me wrong, it isn't too late to start it then either. But gosh darn it, who would want to wait until them. Not I. And I don't think you either. Theres more energy available the younger you are.

Stop chasing more knowledge. Start taking action with whats already available. When you use up whats available, then reach out.

"Action leads to success." Adopt this new mantra. Set the books aside. Pick up your brain instead. Start with a short and quick action plan with a clearly defined goal. Not a "long drawn out take a month to do" plan. Keep it simple. Keep it short. Don't overwhelm your mind with anything else. Then you are returning to the ole' mantra. Don't wait until the kids soccer game this weekend.

Stop what you're doing. It will only take three minutes. Go ahead; grab the Post-It notes. Aren't they beneath the paper stack to your left? I play Post-It note roulette on my office wall all the time. Its quick, easy, fast, and I can spend more time taking action. In my case, writing more.

Tony Robbins says, "The only thing that makes a difference is ACTION! Action is the foundational key to all success."

Okay, you hesitated. Couldn't find the Post-It notes, huh. Okay, use a full sheet of paper, I won't tell. Write down two goals. Yes, you read right, TWO. They could be something you've been putting off, or two that have been rumbling around in your mind the past few days. Right now, this instant, write. Do it before another distraction occurs. Make it clear in your mind, hold that vision a few seconds, then write the goal down. I don't care if you can't spell it or if the grammar isn't right. As long as you know what it is. Leave the details out, hold the vision, and staple the goal to that vision and bring them together with a finger snap.

Good job! I'm proud of you. Took some extra coaching. But I know you at least have their focus. Promise, you will not move your mind away until you've made two decisions.

Okay, done that. Now write two steps for each decision that you can do today. Now, go ahead, think what can you do right now to start. I know, I know, you're saying, "Catherine, dah, I've already started I wrote two decisions down." You're right. You have already started. Two pats on the back. Now the next step is going to be just as easy. What is it? Remember; take to get it from the knowledge you already have.

Is it lose weight? Then pick up the phone and call a few of the gyms to find out more? What about taking a daily walk or parking in the furthest part of the parking lot when you return from lunch or go shopping? What about not munching on those potato chips while you're reading this?

Do you want to write a book and have been "waiting" for the table of contents to magically appear? Pick up the pen and start wherever the mind is at. Most books are never written from page 1. Take that action.

When you complete that action, figure out the next or start the next. Trust whats already inside of you. Its there. You just haven't used this process frequently enough. Go ahead. Start. The waters fine. You know that.

You will find that once you start taking that first step, the universe will begin to send all that you need. Mix that with what you already have, and then reach for the knowledge. Not before. This is the same story with writing a nonfiction book. Stop researching first and write first. Get all your knowledge out, and then reach.

Set a quick, simple goal, then take action, and see the momentum. Don't reverse it. Okay, I can see you are well on your way today. Now print this article out and reread it tomorrow and the next. Let it move you with inspiration and desire for your dreams to come true.

You deserve that!

The Right Way to Use Other Peoples Articles on Your Website

By Lynella Grant

Article Marketing Creates a Steady Flow of Fresh Content

Article writers, website owners, and site visitors all benefit through articles posted online. Simply put, the authors message gets broad exposure. Sites display their articles (some permanently), along with a link to their website. The ezine or website owner gets constantly updated content (site pages) without paying for it. That makes their website sticky - encouraging visitors to stick around. And readers get fresh, useful information on any topic imaginable.

Plenty is written to help authors write and submit their offerings (See the extensive free how-to collected at http://www.promotewitharticles.com). Yet almost nothing tells website owners or editors the best way to handle articles they use. Merely slapping a slew of articles onto your site wont bump your search engine rankings and traffic much.

Respect the Whole Article Marketing Process

1. Respect the Article Writers

- Request permission before posting their article(s) - unless its from an article bank or permission was specifically granted

- Include the writers Sig (signature) file at the end - Ask if thats their current or preferred Sig

- Create a live (clickable) link to the authors website

- Notify authors when or where youve used their articles (article URL)

- Build a relationship so they send their new ones

2. Respect the Search Engines

- Put each article on its own page, with focused keywords in the headings (H1, H2, H3) and the header title and tags

- Cluster articles around specific topics

- Frequently add new content related to your theme(s)

- Provide internal links and a site map

3. Respect Your Website Visitors or Ezine Readers

- Search for meaty information and organize your site so its easy to find

- Steer clear of thinly-disguised sales letters

- Dont provide a home for crappy articles - reject poorly written ones

- Repair broken links and remove out-of-date articles

Both Types of Website Visitors have Different Motivations

Human readers and search engine spiders look for different things on your website. Strive to make them both happy. Readers want relevant information; while search spiders focus on keywords and links. Fortunately, considering both their preferences makes your website stand out from similar ones.

People prefer articles that provide specifics - practical how-to, examples and stories. In-depth articles attract people with a serious interest in the topic (and hence more likely to subscribe or buy). Your website gets a reputation for knowing its stuff - which cements its credibility within that niche.

Search engines prefer specifics also; general sites dont rate as well. They reward focused, keyword-rich topics with improved rankings. Spiders dont care if you wrote the content yourself or used the work of other authors. But they do rely on your links and sitemap, so they can index it all.

Add Your Own Personal Input to Every Article You Post

Take the time to add a paragraph above each article on your site - 80 to 100 words is plenty. Like a cordial host, introduce the information or author ahead. Build anticipation so theyre eager to keep reading. Employ the keywords shown in your title and header tags. DO NOT ALTER THE ARTICLE ITSELF. That would violate the authors copyright, and its not necessary.

At the bottom of the article (after the authors Sig) add another paragraph of your own.

- Summarize it

- Link to other articles along the same line

- Recommend resources

- Insert affiliate links or products you sell

Reuse the page-specific keywords in the bottom paragraph. Although that article also appears on other sites, your version is now unique to the search engines. Most submitted articles appear in multiple websites, directories, and ezines. Adding new language personalizes it, while avoiding the possibility of a duplicate content penalty.

Youre also building a personal connection to readers, as they begin to identify your voice and online personality. That goes a long way toward return visits.

Package Articles in an Organized Way

Dont dump every article together in one long list. Cluster them into logical sub-categories which aid site navigation. Add links between articles and related pages on your site. Although everyone knows incoming links can boost Page Rank, links within your site (internal) benefit your rankings as well (though to a lesser degree). And theyre 100% within your control. Besides, ample links help visitors move confidently around your website.

Despite the infinite supply of online articles, most dish out recycled stuff that everyones seen before. Avoid that trap with information thats a cut above. Take the trouble to carefully select articles that provide extra value. Then by adding your own voice and unique comments you please both the human readers and search engines. And thats a winning strategy all around.

Read This Article If You Are A Conservative

By Lance Winslow

If you are conservative you know how our country is divided. Have you also found that it is hard to break the politically correctness sometimes with those you talk with? Have you noticed the problems when you get into an argument accidentally with a liberal and how they start accusing you for anything and everything that is wrong in the world? Imagine if you were the President, next thing you know they would be blaming you for continental drift or something like that?

In fact one of the more prominent Black Democrats complained that Hurricane Katrina, the actual Hurricane was the Presidents fault, because he did not sign the Kyoto Treaty, which would have bankrupted our nation and crippled our industrial output and cost some 8.5 million jobs within only a four-year period. Such attacks and pure BS in the media is completely dangerous as it further divides our nation and there are actually people out there that believe such utter non-sense and hokum?

It seems that whenever some one does not have a legitimate argument, rather than arguing the points they attempt to character assassinate using bogus logic, the mass media mega phone, while making stuff up out of thin air? The Category Five Hurricane was Bushs fault because he did not sign a treaty, which would have put Americans out of work and cost our nation 8.5 million jobs? Please spare me the BS. Who comes up with this stuff? Think about?

E-commerce - Major Facts

By Olivia Hunt

Electronic commerce consists generally of the distributing, buying, selling, marketing, and servicing of a products or services over electronic systems such as in the Internet and other computer networks. The information technology industry may use it as an electronic business application aimed at commercial transactions. It can involve with electronic funds transfer, supply chain management, e-marketing, online marketing, online transaction processing, electronic data interchange, automated inventory management systems, and automated data collection systems. It is a typically uses electronic communications technology such as bye the use of Internet, extranets, e-mail, e-books, databases, catalogues and mobile phones.

In the age of global economy, e-commerce and e-business have increasingly become a necessary component of business strategy and a strong catalyst for economic development. The Combination of information and communications technology in business has revolutionized relationships within organizations and those between and among organizations and individuals. Exclusively, the use of ICT in business has improved productivity, encouraged greater customer participation, and enabled mass customization, besides reducing costs.

On the other hand, developing countries are set increased access to the global marketplace, where they compete with and complement the more developed economies. Most of all, developing countries are already participating in e-commerce, either as sellers or buyers. Conversely, to facilitate e-commerce growth in these countries, the relatively underdeveloped information infrastructure must be improved. Among the areas for policy involvement are:

Higher cost of internet access, including connection service fees, communication fees, and hosting charges for websites with sufficient bandwidth.

Limited availability to credit cards and a developing a nationwide credit card system. Undersized transportation infrastructure resulting in slow and uncertain delivery of goods and services.

Having network security problems and insufficient security safeguards.

Lack of skilled human resources and lack of key technologies.

There are some content of restriction on national security and other public policy grounds, which are greatly affect business in the field of information services, such as the media and entertainment sectors.

Cross-border issues in a country, such as the recognition of transactions under laws of other ASEAN member-countries, certification services, improvement of delivery methods and customs facilitations.

The relatively low cost of labor, which is implies that a shift to a comparatively capital intensive solution is not apparent.

It is recognized that in this Information Age, Internet commerce is being a powerful tool in the economic growth of developing countries. While there are some indications of e-commerce patronage among large firms in developing countries, there seems to be little and negligible use of the Internet for commerce among small and medium sized firms. E-commerce promises to do a better business for SMEs and sustainable economic development for developing countries. Though, this is premised on strong political will and good governance, as well as on a responsible and supportive private sector within an effective policy framework. This is a primary seeks to provide policy guidelines toward this end.

How to Structure an Article

By David R Brown

In my previous article I talked about how to optimize an article to get the highest listing possible in the search engine results. In this article Ill talk about how to structure an article to give the best impression to your readers.

Article Structure

Remember, with any article you are presenting information to your reader and you must make your presentation compelling.

There is a very old but tried and tested rule when presenting information to people. I use this rule every time I write any article and I recommend you do as well.

1. Tell them what you are going to tell them.
2. Tell them it.
3. Tell them what you have just told them.

So right there you have the outline for your introduction, body and conclusion of your article.

Lets use an example:-

Title: Potty Training Your Baby Five Easy Steps

Intro: In this article Im going to give you five easy steps on potty training your baby

Body: List the five potty training steps

Conclusion: I hope you enjoyed my five easy steps on potty training your babyIn my next article

An Article Template

This is the template I use together with the important elements to include in each section

Title : Make sure you include your long tail keyword.
Introduction: Tell them what you are going to tell them and make sure you include your long tail keyword.
Body : Tell them it! 300 600 words. No more, no less. Make sure you break the body up into smaller paragraphs. If you can, add bullet points. A list of tips is very effective.
Conclusion : Tell them what you have just told them and make sure you include your long tail keyword.

Big Tip! Both the Article Directories and the search engines love series of articles, so keep that in mind.

Once you have mastered how to structure an article, not only do they become easier to write but are far more presentable and compelling for your readers. In my next article Ill talk about the most important part of your article writing. How to write a compelling Author Biography?

Would you like a blog.

Article Marketing - Determine Your Purpose to Effectively Submit to the Right Article Directories

By Sean Mize

Article marketing can be one of the most productive and rewarding work you will ever do online, if you do enough of it, and if you submit effectively.

Why do I say, do enough of it? If you write one article, it can truly be hit or miss whether it gets a lot of traffic. Some days I submit 10 articles and most of them get 20 hits each the first day, and one will get 500. If I just submitted one or two, and they were the ones with 20 hits each, I might get discouraged. But I dont, because I have over 250 articles published with over 1000 hits per day and over 30 new subscribers daily?

So how do you submit effectively?

The real question here is, what are you submitting for?

If you are submitting for the readership and for search engine hits directly to the article, then you are best off submitting multiple articles to just a few of the highest - traffic article directories.

Here are some of the best: ezinearticles, goarticles, and searchwarp. Both ezinearticles and searchwarp have handy stats sections where you can see how many hits your articles receive, and searchwarp even tells you which search engine they came from and with which keyword.

If, on the other hand, you have just launched a new web site, and want to focus on getting 500 backlinks in a few days, write just one article and submit it to 500 article directories. This method will take more time, and is downright boring, but if backlinks is what you want, go for it.

Do you want to learn more about how I do it? I have just completed my brand new guide to article marketing success, Your Article Writing and Promotion Guide. Download it free here: Email List Building

Directory Submission and Article Submissions-How To Link Build With SEO

By Tyler Dewitt

If you are a web master or an e-commerce website owner, you certainly realize the importance of building links to your website. What you might not realize is the effect of how you build these links. If you dont build them correctly, all of your efforts will go to waste.

As someone with a great deal of experience in this area, I hope to shed a little light on how you can create better links that will make your website a greater success.

1.Know where to go to spread the word. The first step I always take when building links is to do directory submissions, high quality directory submissions, and article submissions. Be aware that this process can sometimes cause a link-bait effect (if the users fine it interesting), particularly with article submissions.
2.Give the viewer a clear look at your site. When doing article submissions, you always need to keep in mind how it looks to the viewer. In other words, your article should give the viewer a good idea of what your site has to offer. If they find it to be very pro efficient, or simply think your site looks interesting, they just might add a link to your site and share your site with their friends.
3.Dont forget the keywords. When submitting your articles, you need to always be sure to put keywords in the title. In most cases, your title is what will show up within the search engine. If your title is catchy enough and contains relevant words, the person that stumbles upon your site through the search engine just might decide to take a look at your site. Be certain to put more than just one keyword in your title, but mix them up so the title still sounds interesting.
4.Put the keyword in the anchor. When writing with article directories in mind, you also need to be sure to place the keyword inside the anchor text. The reason for this is quite simple the search engine robots/spiders that crawl through your web site in order to determine its ranking place the most emphasis on the anchor text. This is judged, in part, by the number of inbound links you have. If done correctly, this can significantly boost your search engine ranking.

This Is The Best Ezine Article Ever Written

By Tino Buntic

I shouldn't lie. I should tell the truth. This actually isn't the best ezine article ever written; it is the seventh best ezine article ever written. All jokes aside, there is a reason for the title of this article.

But first, let me tell you about a recent experience I had in a book store. I was walking passed the business section of the magazine rack when a certain magazine cover caught my attention. It was the cover of Trump Magazine with a big cover headline that read "The Best Issue Ever." Normally, I dont read Donald Trump's magazine; I've skimmed through it before but have never quite liked it. But this time, I just had to pick it up. The magazine had a bold claim and I wanted to know the reason why Mr. Trump believed that this particular issue was the best one ever.

But you know what? It really didnt matter why it was the best issue ever. I still didnt like it. What mattered was that the headline was an attention grabber; it caused me to stop and pick up the magazine. I'm sure the situation was like-wise for other passersby, which will probably really end up making this the actual best-selling issue of Trump Magazine ever. And, if this is the case, it will probably be due only to one thing - the headline on the cover.

What does this mean? It means that headlines sell. So if I make an outrageous claim and say that this is the best ezine article ever written, will that mean that it will be the most viewed and most read ezine article of all time? NO!! It wont even be close. If that was my goal in writing this article, it will be a miserable failure.

Yes, headlines on ezine articles are important. They do need to capture a persons attention. Headlines end up being the clickable link on internet search engines so they must give an incentive for a person to actually click on them.

But just having a great headline on an ezine article is not enough. Unlike magazine racks that only need to capture the attention of people that are already in the bookstore, ezine article titles won't be visible on internet search engines unless someone actually searches a keyword that is in the title. This article won't get many search engine visitors because the main keyword in the title is "ezine article." This, according to Overture's keyword selector tool, is only searched less than 700 times per month. And, seeing as there are 2.6 million Google results for the term "ezine article" there is no way that this article will have any sort of good positioning in search results; there is just too much competition.

Attention grabbing headlines on ezine articles are not enough. Ezine article titles must have keywords that have enough monthly searches, along with a good headline, to get enough people to read them.

Web Design Of Information Portals

By Steve Hill

The internet is all about finding out information on a particular subject. There are many different types of website, some offer a service, some offer a product and some merely offer advice. In this article I write about this third type of site which I refer to as information portals.

I am not sure if you have ever heard of a program that the search engine Google run, which is called Google adsense. Basically people pay to appear on the front pages of results under certain keywords such as web hosting. Their advert then appears under the sponsored listing sections of the search results which can be above or to the right of the natural listings. This advertising program is called Google adwords and has proved to be very popular with advertisers who are attempting to attract more traffic to their site. This is also known as pay per click (ppc) and many of the other major search engines also run similar programs.

Google adsense is a bit different. This is where people who own a website allow Google to include these Google adword adverts on their site. When people who visit the site click on one of the ads, the website owner receives a percentage of the income received. This is paid to the website owner normally on a monthly basis by Google.

One of the problems with this program is that it is taking your visitors away from your site. You may be making some money but these people of course may have bought your product or taken up your service if they had spent longer at and reading your website.

This is where sites which are purely information based and do not offer a service or product can do well with Google adsense. The website owners of these information portals are quite happy for you to click on one of the Google adverts as they do not care if you move onto reading another site.

These information portals are becoming more and more popular with people who are trying to increase their monthly earnings on adsense. People who design this type of site should normally be able to offer their services for a very affordable fee. Typically you should not need to break the bank and I personally know of somebody who only charges ฃ150 plus free hosting for a fifteen page information portal site.

The web designer is able to find the content for these information portals in the many article directories which are now out there.

How To Write An Article For The Internet

By Jennie Crawford

Im sure youve read about the great new way to advertise on the internet. Article marketing. It doesnt cost you anything but your time and you can generate tons of free traffic. Sounds great, right? Now only if you didnt have to actually write that darn article.

Here are some tips on writing articles for the internet to help make you job easier.

1. Pick a subject you already know something about. It will make the article writing task so much easier and cut down dramatically on your research time.

2. Write a quick outline first to organize what you want to convey in the article. But dont write out the whole article yet-just points you want to cover.

3. Do you need more information on any of your points? Find it now and write it down.

4. Name your article. Make it short and direct. Make sure the article name is directly related to the article content. Use any major keyword you are targeting in the article title.

5. Write out your article. Dont worry to much about format. Try to keep the sentences short and easy to understand. Make sure all your article points are covered in a way that anyone can understand. Assume that the person reading the article knows nothing or next to nothing about the subject you are writing about. Make every part of your article very clear and easily understood.

6. Proof-read your article. Use your spell-checker. Correct any mistakes and make sure that the article is informative and has good quality information. This is the best way to make sure that your article will be reprinted and give you the extra exposure and free traffic that you are looking for. No one will want to reprint an article with false or out of date information.

If you use these tips, you will get better and better at article writing. It is a great way to generate traffic if you have the time to devote to it. You will soon see your name and article popping up all over the internet. This should generate more targeted traffic and should help add more income to your business without cutting into the profits. Its a great marketing tool to use in conjunction with all your other marketing efforts. It is more time consuming then others but the possible returns should make the extra time well worth it. Especially if you enjoy writing and have a knack for it.

Google Love, Length of Article and Online Article Submission Websites

By Lance Winslow

Every online article author wants their articles read and therefore they want to place them on the best online article submission site for traffic and search engine placement. Actually it appears that MSN.com Live Search is surpassing Google in the online search engine game. Nevertheless most folks really worry about Google and rankings.

I believe if you want a better hook up with Google you need an older website, thus chose one of the top online article submission site that is one of the Oldest Online Article Websites and therefore gets the most traffic. Also links coming in are also high and bump up its advantage. With the new MSN live search I believe that their artificial intelligence scouring system might prove your comments correct and getting love from Yahoo or MSN is not a bad thing.

The desire to go to a 400 word minimum for many authors is completely a preference call over-all I believe and whereas I guess I agree and have a similar preference myself when reading articles, I am not sure that an article much over 400 words is a smart idea, because it makes the reader scroll and the author loses traffic on the byline, because that is at the bottom of the article and you have to scroll to get at it.

The empirical data that I see is not jiving with the move to larger articles from a search engine strategy sequence flow tactic. But a lifting of potential higher end articles and a preference for it does, I agree. Larger articles have MORE information, usually, but not all, to arbitrarily say that larger articles are better is a misnomer completely.

If it makes people FEEL GOOD, fine, and as an average overall larger articles do have more info; yes they would be correct. In reality some of the best articles I have ever read were quick, too the point, got the information, thank you, NEXT! And really the preferences of the readers in the click happen over loaded world of information ON AVERAGE want exactly that; Give it to me fast, tell me what I need to know and SEE YA!

It is simply not wise to make a blanket statement that the new data shows something different than what I have suggested and if it does; I am from Missouri! I will not accept any other comments to the contrary based on my proof and data already collected and on-going. Longer articles are not better, because a longer article can be made into two articles and doubling the potential for viewing and it has nothing to do with search engine rankings either.

I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple; to help you in your quest to be the best in 2007. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.

Article Writing and Marketing: How Do You Come Up with an Idea Every Week?

By Jeff Herring

Do you know how some people struggle with coming up with ideas for articles? Well here is how to make it easy.

The wrong question and the right question

Since I write a weekly syndicated relationship column, I get asked all the time:

"How do you come up with a new idea every week?"

That's the wrong question. The right question is how do I pick one idea out of the many that are in front of me.

Once you get going and flowiing with this stuff, you learn to notice article ideas everywhere. My syndiczated column is limited to 650 words, so I like to say that I have learned to think in 650 words.

The main tip I can give you for noticing article ideas is to pay attention. Simply pay attention to what is happening around you. As you go through the day in your area of expertise, notice things you could write about. Notice what works and what doesn't. Pay attention to the frequently asked questions in your industry.

If you work with clients in any way, listen to them. My in office clients are accustomed to me reaching over to my desk, and while still listening to them, writing and article idea down so I do not forget it.

Pay attention, and you will soon have more than enough ideas.

A Publishers Rant - Why I Hate Your First Paragraph

By Halstatt Pires

Im a publisher for numerous sites. I HATE many of your articles. Heres why I hate your first paragraph and what you can do about it.

A Biggie

First paragraphs are a huge issue with me. Better to have died a small child than get this one wrong. If you can get just this one thing right, your publication rates will go through the roof. Unfortunately, almost nobody does it correctly.

The entire issue comes down to meta tagging. When I create a page on a site for an article, I have to enter the meta title and meta description. Your headline is the meta title and your first paragraph should be the meta description. If your first paragraph doesnt fit my meta description needs, I will blow by your articles like a debutante on Rodeo Drive with a new credit card. I dont have time to re-write your masterpiece. Dont make me.

Here is what I want:

1. No more than 38 words.

2. Preferably two sentences.

3. Your keywords in the first sentence.

Now, that seems easy enough, but none of you do it. Instead, you charge right into the body of your article and write these truly horrific 10 line first paragraphs. I HATE these. I will not publish you. I may decide to never look at your articles again.

Writing articles can be a challenge. Often, the best way is to just start writing. I have no problem with this approach. All I ask is that you write a two-sentence introduction after you have finished the article.

Scroll back up to the first paragraph of this article. What do you see? Three short sentences totaling 26 words. The keywords, publisher and first paragraph are contained within the three sentences. When I publish this article, I will copy the first paragraph and slam it into my meta description.

Wham! Bamn! Im off to the next article.

This approach has a huge benefit for you as well. When I publish articles in this format on sites, the articles will appear high in the search rankings for Google, Yahoo and MSN. Put another way, you will be able to piggyback my high ranking sites and get your article in front of your target audience. This means traffic for both you and me, which should make us both happy.

The first paragraph is extremely important. I will look past crappy headlines and ungodly spelling errors if you write a good first paragraph.

I am a lazy person. Make my job easy and you will benefit.

Article Thieves

By Ellen Gaver

Something happened to me this week that really took me by surprise but made me stop and think. An online acquaintenance of mine borrowed an article I had written and posted it on her blog as her own. Needless to say, I was shocked to see my article on her site with no credit given to me, and I felt violated, not unlike how I felt when my home was robbed many years ago. Not only that, her business is in direct competition with mine, so I saw that as a double slap in the face. Im certain that I was not meant to see that blog, but alas, the online community is really not as vast as it appears to be!

I feel compelled to write about this because I have a feeling my situation is all too common. Articles are a dime-a-dozen on the net, and whats stopping anyone from taking something they did not write and posting it on their site or blog as their own? Nothing! Nothing but INTEGRIY, I guess.

Those of us who own our own businesses work so hard to promote them and the competition is fierce. Writing does not come easily to everyone, and those of us to do write do so with effort and time invested. So please, if you see something that you love and you want to use it, please, please ask for permission. Very often, writers are willing to allow their work to be used if proper credit is given. Just ask. Or better yet, write your own article and allow others to use it.its a great feeling!

Sleep And Massage Therapy

By Nikos Linardakis

Hands-On Therapy for Peaceful Sleep

One alternative medicine approach is a perfect option for relaxing your tension and allowing you to sink into deep, restful sleep: massage therapy.

If you are comfortable with someone touching your body, a therapeutic massage is a wonderful sleep aid. In simple terms, massage therapy turns OFF the sympathetic nervous system, and turns ON the parasympathetic system. Thus, it relaxes the body and relieves neuromuscular problems.

I (Dr. Nikos) recently tried this method by actually getting a massage during a recent trip to the suburbs of Chicago. I peacefully drifted off to sleep with no trouble at all, even during the massage.

Relaxation techniques, such as massage therapy, can reduce the frustrations, stresses, and other turmoil that lead to a night of tossing and turning-and anxiousness and poor performance during the daytime. It seems we all have the need for human touch. Therapeutic massage can have both an internal psychological benefit and an external physical benefit-improving physiological responses for the body.

Therapeutic massage can help with sleep disorders that have a neuromuscular origin such as pain, tension, involuntary muscle contractions, and "restless muscle" syndromes, notably, "restless legs syndrome."

After having a daily massage for ten days, even adults with chronic fatigue syndrome sleep better.

BALMS AND OILS

Massage and aromatherapy can relax your muscles and offer improved blood and lymph circulation. A backrub can reduce nerve irritation and assist by increasing production of pain-killing endorphins. The time-honored healing potential of a good back massage is well known and has many enthusiasts.

Several sweetly-scented natural balms and massage oils are available to use with massage therapy to relieve stress. The aroma, texture, and feel of the oils offer a calming effect in a relaxing environment.

RELIEVING INSOMNIA

Insomnia is common problem for hospitalized patients. Consequently, a search for non-drug alternatives for the treatment of insomnia has been necessary. Massage has been useful as an adjunct or alternative option to drug therapy for insomnia, for example benzodiazepines.

One study, conducted at the University of Arkansas, concluded that back massage is useful for promoting sleep in critically ill older men.

SOOTHING YOUR CHILD WITH INFANT MASSAGE

It may interest you to know that restless babies and children may also benefit from a massage by sleeping more peacefully. In one study of children and adolescents, those who participated in a 30-minute massage (daily for five days) slept longer and more soundly.

In addition to helping an infant sleep, the "calming touch" of a parent establishes a valuable opportunity to soothe and nurture your baby. As little as 15 minutes of massage a day significantly benefits infant weight gain as well as mental and motor development, according to research. Infants' sleep patterns improved with deeper sleep of longer duration. Baby massage has many benefits, including improved parent-infant interaction, infant relaxation and reduced crying for colicky babies. Some newborns may develop a more regular sleep cycle as well.

In addition, a study by Dieter, et al., discovered that pre-term infants given five days of massage therapy gained weight and improved sleep-wake behavior. The therapy used was a simple, easy-to-learn method of body stroking combined with passive limb movements for three 15-minute periods per day to improve the health of the stable pre-term infants.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE TECHNIQUES

Massage can also help a couple reconnect. It can be a great way to re-acquaint with your partner. You might want to give each other a nightly massage before sleep.

Some of the most common therapeutic massage techniques are:

ท Swedish massage: a smooth, flowing style that improves overall relaxation, circulation and range of movement, and relieves muscular tension.

ท Deep-tissue or Neuromuscular massage: a style that reaches the connective tissues, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. This releases tension areas called "trigger points."

ท Sports massage: a style that improves athletic performance by massaging specific muscles, tendons and ligaments.

ท Reflexology: a style for massaging specific "reflex zones" on your feet that relieves tension and pain, and improves circulation in areas of your body corresponding to reflex zones of the feet.

ท Specialized forms: other forms of therapeutic massage.

A "PEACEFUL, EASY FEELING"-- AND A POEM After you have experienced a therapeutic massage, drink plenty of water (to avoid dehydration and to help in the removal and filtration of toxins) and enjoy the sweet peace of relaxation to benefit your sleep. As I was drifting into relaxation by the end of my own massage therapy session, the therapist recited a wonderful poem. It had an effect when it was spoken slowly and received in a restful state. "Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, but Today is a gift-that's why they call it the Present."

2 Common E-Mail Problems and What To Do About Them

By Marv Ko

When it works well, e-mail can be great. It's hard to beat e-mail for everything from staying in touch with family to requesting information from businesses or other organizations. Want to send the same message to several people? Communicate with someone across the continent? Transmit photos, manuscripts or other information? For speed and efficiency, this virtually instantaneous medium is one of the most convenient features of modern life.

But e-mail is not without problems. If you key in the name of an intended recipient but your message keeps bouncing back, you might not be singing e-mail's praises. Ditto for attachments that won't open or other such nuisances. With just a little patience, though, you can readily overcome most e-mail problems. What follows are 4 common e-mail problems along with solutions for overcoming them.

Problem Returned Messages

This may be the most frustrating of all e-mail problems. After taking the time to create a message, you click on the send button and consider your task accomplished. But the next thing you know, the message pops up in your in-box with a heading that it did not reach its intended recipient.

Solutions

First, take the simple step of checking to see that the address of your recipient has been entered correctly. This may seem obvious, but sometimes the only thing wrong is a misplaced letter, the use of com instead of net, or some similar error. If you know the correct address, this is a straightforward matter of double checking each character. If not, you might need to experiment by sending multiple messages, or by entering alternative addresses with slight variations. Under this approach, you simply keep track of which messages are bounced back and compare them with the overall list of addresses you used. If you sent four variations but only three were returned, you have solved the problem by the process of elimination.

Sometimes the source of your problem lies with the recipient. If messages to other addresses go through but fail here, try to contact the intended recipient by other means and report the situation. The cause may range from a temporary problem with the recipient's server to a switch to another e-mail provider, to a full in box. In this case, simply waiting may be the best recourse. Or a phone call or other communication may be required on your part to obtain the correct e-mail address. If all your messages are being returned, you may have a connection problem. See below for more details.

Problem 2 You Have Lost Your Connection

Sometimes a failure to send or receive e-mail can be traced to a lost connection with your Internet service provider.

Solutions

If you see a failure to connect or no response message or have otherwise determined that you have failed to connect, double check to make certain there are no physical problems.

First, check your cables and connections. If you use a dial-up modem, listen to make sure it produces the normal high-pitched dialing sound. If not, the problem could be a loose connection. Locate the phone cord that runs from the back of your computer to the phone jack, and then make sure that each end is plugged in snugly.

If you will don't hear the expected dialing sound, check to make sure your phone cord is undamaged. If it seems worn, replace it with a new one. Other steps include making certain the line is plugged into the right port, and checking the phone jack by plugging the cord into a different jack. If you hear the dialing sound after any of these steps, you have made a successful connection.

Connection problems may be more common with dial-up modems than with broadband connections, but the latter are also dependent on physical connections. A loose wire or poorly connected cable can easily be problematic. Sometimes a glitch occurs that can be best addressed by repeating portions of the initial set-up process. A simple fix touted by Verizon technical service reps for some DSL (digital subscriber line) customers is to disconnect the three lines from the back of the modem and then reconnect them in a specified order. When this action is taken, the online connection is immediately regained.

If you are online but keep getting bumped off, the lost connection can be the result of an unintended software command. In Outlook Express, for example, you will find the command Hang up when finished. If the box in front of this phrase is checked, the connection will automatically be severed each time you send or download e-mail. Sometimes a misdirected click of your mouse will cause you to place a check in the box even though you do not realize it. Simply click on the check mark to make it disappear, and the hang-ups will cease.

These 2 common e-mail problems are quite easy to determine and when rectified will make your emailing experience more enjoyable.
